Mr. Rochester pressed his lips to Jane’s in the garden and she liked it. It
stirred in her a throbbing passion…or was it guilt? Is that what you have in
mind?”
“I’m not shur I can whip up that much of a blaze, but I can give ya a
taste o’ the fire under the cap,” he said. He pulled her close and pressed his

Little Dove is attacked...
While she slept, the white horse entered her mind, awakened the night
creature and it surged into her blood.
She sat up. She heard breathing. She dropped a handful of twigs on the
coals and the fire crackled. She saw a glint off a rifle barrel.
